Children's Sunday School (currently on hold)

Sunday school classes at Hillcrest allow children to explore, discover, create and construct by involving their senses in an array of age-appropriate activities.  Biblically-based curriculum is used.  All classrooms are on the lower level beginning at 9:30 am.

Kids Converge

Most Wednesday evenings during the school year our kids K-3rd Grade  and 4th-6th Grade meet to sing, study a brief Bible lesson and do artwork that relates to the lesson. There is a family meal served at 6 pm with Kids Converge from 6:30-7:30. Nursery care is available for those not yet in Kindergarten

Children's Church (currently on hold)

Children ages 3 through 3rd grade are invited to attend Children's Church following the Children's Moment in the worship service.  They will be dismissed to the nursery at the south end of the entry hallway for Children's Worship and Wonder storytelling and activities.

Loving hands await your precious babies (newborn – 4 yrs.) in Hillcrest’s fully-equipped nursery, located on the first floor at the end of the hall to the right of the entrance. Nursery care is offered from 9:00 am to noon on Sunday mornings.

To give children loving, quality care and help them develop a love of learning by: providing a nurturing, Christian environment, meeting their individual educational, social and emotional needs and supplementing their parents’ efforts.

Whether you are new to the denomination, or a life-long member of the Christian Church, this session will give you be a better understanding of our history and theology as Disciples.

Twice a year, members of Hillcrest have an opportunity to participate in an overnight Silent Prayer Retreat. Held at a nearby retreat center, participants learn about prayer and spirituality, and are invited to be in an extended period of silence. Silent Prayer retreats are a time to disengage from life’s hectic pace and be intentional in listening to God.
